We’ve been visiting friends and eating too much and drinking too much. I love my friends!  I’ve been cleaning the house/organizing for viewing.  I’m still amazed that I’ve gotten 2 viewings (and countless emails) from the tepilo website listing. We are listing w/ a local estage agent, he’s coming on Monday to get the details and the house should be listed by next week! I’m been a bit stressed out about the fact that our house is not super ready to sell.  We are 3 living in a 2 bedroom house with little/no storage so it gets a bit cluttered around here.  The kitchen needs to be modernized. The back garden needs a little love.  Then I just remind myself if the kitchen was all shiny and new I’d be asking more money!

Oh and in case you’re wondering how Wal feels about all this, he’s just going along with it and I’m sure if/when someone makes an offer he’s going to act all surprised!  LOL that’s just what he does and I love him for it– when I’m not irritated with him for it!  I keep telling him we’ll be moving in with his parents if we sell before finding a place.  As most of you know THAT would be interesting!  On that subject Squidge is constantly talking about my parents and how they live in America.  Sooooo because I’m an evil bitch I asked her if Daddy had a mummy or daddy, she said no, he did not.  I hope that made Wal feel like shit! Not that it’s his fault his parents are useless pieces of flaming dog doo… Anyhoo I’ve always said I wouldn’t be nasty to/about them on this blog as it’s their loss so I’ll end it there.

I haven’t mentioned wedding plans for a while so I’ll do that now.  Wal and I are getting married on the 24 April at Manchester City Hall.  Nothing fancy just the 3 of us and our witnesses.  I still need to speak to my witness (yes, I’m looking at you Biff) and I KNOW Wal hasn’t contacted him witness either so we might end up just pulling someone walking down the hall! Last minute cuz that’s how we roll!!  I hope this doesn’t offend anyone but it’s just a formality.  We are planning on having a party later in the year and inviting all our friends and family– I’m thinking August.  I just want something really casual and laid back for the ‘reception”,  I’m not really into all the formality and traditional wedding rigmarole.  I’ll let ya’ll know the details later in the year.  If you want to come to the party and you don’t think I have your address just send me an email.

Considering this blog is supposed to be all about Squidge I suppose I should mention her.  I’m finding her more and more grown up and it’s hard to wrap my head around!  She’s going to be 4 in June but I swear she’s more like 12!  She never shuts up, constantly wants me (or her Dad) to read to her, knows how to write (finally) her name, loves to imaginative play and loves donuts more than anything else in the world.  Thank goodness (or not) for Krispy Kreme)

I also want to apologize to my Mom for not calling her.  Every day around lunch time I think about calling my mother.  The only problem is that lunch time here is 5 am there– not a sociable time to call anyone!  I’m hoping to finally call tonight after Squidge gets home from nursery.  I’m not making any promises as we’re baking pizza for supper and I might not survive.

If you’ve read this far down you really are a dedicated Squidgyboo reader.  Because I’m a slacker blogger I’m going to open this up to questions.  Now the last time I did this no one asked any questions and my ego was wounded.  Still here I go again, this time I’ll make cookies so I can drown my wounded ego is  chocolate chips!   So what do you want to know? Anything I haven’t mentioned that you’ve been curious about? Now is your chance! Also any lurkers out there why don’t you stop for a sec and say HELLO!

Squidge was really excited even though she was still feeling a little under the weather.  The birthday boy had all his friends over to BK for the meal then we headed over to the bowling alley.  I don’t know if it was the walk/run or the cold weather or her still being a little bit not herself … as soon as we got to the bowling alley she had a coughing fit culminating in a big old puke fest in my hand! LOL sorry for TMI!  I kind of thought it might happen, it was that kind of cough, so I had a wipe and cupped hand just in case.  It was pretty gross as she had JUST eaten her supper.  As soon as she puked she ran off full of beans!  She spent almost the entire night dancing her little bum off!

It didn’t stop her from getting a top bowling score and winning a colouring book– Woot Woot!

After walking back to our car and puking some more it was time for bed, but not before eating some birthday cake!

Squidge and I met up with one of my bestest friends today.  We were supposed to go and have a mini photo shoot for N who is turning 3.  Instead of buying another toy I thought I would take some photographs and then frame one.  Unfortunately N was a little under the weather and the weather was a little crappy.  We changed plans and met at a soft play (warm and dry) with the hopes of getting some time to shoot.

We had a fantastic time as usual.  B sat there and listened to me stress out over school placements and houses… ya know the usual!  Squidge is still a  bit under the weather herself but still she had a good time.  As we were leaving  I got to take a few photos but like I said the weather wasn’t ideal– a little too cold and the kids were a teensy bit tired.  I did manage to get some but not as many as I would have liked.  Still I’m sure B will like the gift as she’s totally into handmade thoughtful gifts.

So we’ve been sticking pretty close to home all week and are beginning to get cabin fever.  Thankfully on Thursday we’re meeting friends and we’ll both be able to blow off some steam.

I think I forget to mention that Wal got back on Tuesday and someone is over the moon to have her daddy back.

She’s been sticking pretty close and keeps telling me that she loves him the most but she still loves me.  She’s really affectionate and I’m really enjoying it.  She randomly throughout the day will come up and pat my leg/arm and smile at me or give me a hug and kiss.  I love that she’s such a cuddly child and hope it continues for a long long time.

Did I mention we have a viewing on Saturday?  I’m a little nervous about it as I don’t think the house looks perfect (or if I’m honest anywhere close to perfect), but if it was perfect I’d be asking more ££ for it. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed that the person is looking for a bit of a project.  Send positive buying vibes!
