This week we’ve been staying close to home. Exploring the neighbourhood on our bikes and stopping off for treats along the way. I can’t remember if I mentioned on here that an old fashioned candy store opened up not too far away from us. Squidge loves the place! In the photo above she’s eyeballing the vimto candies I won’t let her buy. They’re too expensive! I only give her 20p or 50p (depending on what I have on me) and if she’s smart she can load up as a lot of the candy is reasonably priced– 2p to 10p for the “penny candy” Anyway she was a bit overwhelmed trying to decide what to get. I on the other hand didn’t have any problem– tea and a cupcake!
When we went to Hove the other weekend we picked up Squidge’s new bike. We’ve been out at every opportunity.

Squidge was reading a book she picked up from the library about the ancient Greeks. She was reading about a diving bell and wanted to know what it was. Dad jumped at the chance to show her. I love my nerds!!

it’s a huge dome/bell that they floated in the sea (under the surface) that has an air bubble in it so they could dive then come up to the bell get some air and then dive back down again w/out having to come up all the way to the surface… or something like that.
