Weeklies 13/7

The week that was…

We’ve had a really busy week. On top of our usual things we finally bought a new strimmer after Wal’s dad broke the other one and we got working on the jungle that was our back garden. It hadn’t been touched since last autumn and people it was looking bad! I thought our neighbors were going to call the council on us!  Se we’ve wacked it all back and it should be good to go for a while and we can forget all about it!

Squidge crashed with a bad cold over the weekend and pretty much stayed on the sofa snuggling up with some stuffies and the iPad. She still wasn’t 100% on Monday but refused to stay home from school. She wasn’t contagious so off she went. She was back to her old (silly) self  by Tuesday.

We celebrated Wal’s birthday on Friday. Our favourite coffee shop helped make his birthday bacon and egg sandwich a bit more festive.  We continued our celebrations that night by going out for a curry. I gave the waitress a cake to bring out after dinner and he thought it was for Squidge. Lots of people joined in on the singing and had a good laugh when I said it was Wal’s birthday not Squidge’s… I guess you had to be there.
