The one with the ho ho ho!

To say that Squidge was excited about Christmas this year would be like saying the pope was only a little religious.  On Christmas eve Squidge was FREAKING OUT and wanted to go to bedrightthisverymoment now! Now! NOw! NOW!!!!  Before bed we put on some warm boots and our coats and went outside to sprinkle reindeer dust on the front lawn– so Rudolph would know where to land the sleigh.

Then it was inside to change into our new Christmas jammies and put out snacks for Santa and the reindeer.

Xmas Eve-2

She didn’t even want to have supper– she had to get to sleep right away! LOL Wal and I almost peed our pants laughing.  We did manage to get her to stop a moment and read The Night Before Christmas.  I bought a fantastic pop up book version and it was such a good buy.  Earlier in the week we (Wal) tried to read a Christmas Carol to her but it was too grown up of a story and she got bored.  The Night Before Christmas is was just right and got her in the mood– like she needed some help!!  She was buzzing with excitement but managed to get right to sleep.

She woke us up around 7am saying “He’s come! He’s come!”  She didn’t even have to go downstairs to check– she was certain she’d been a good girl.  So off we all went down stairs to see if he had in fact come.
