Guess what? Have you guessed yet? Did my title give it away?? It’s snowing again here and it doesn’t look like it’s going to stop for a while. I’m sitting here freezing, wearing only one slipper and thinking about making pasta carbonara for lunch.
After a bit of scare, thinking that nursery would be closed due to the snow, we successfully deposited Squidge there. We used the sled and she was happy as a clam to be there. In fact as I was taking off her snowboots (thanks Auntie Sherry) she asked me to leave! I’ve been hearing rumblings that this will be the coldest winter in the England for 100 yrs! I’ve also heard people asking where the heck the warming part of global warming is. Well folks I read something a while back that said global warming will in fact make the UK COLDER!! The jet stream will be pushed down and with it the temperate weather we have grown to love and need! Lovely innit!?!?! I’m hoping I’ll be long dead when that happens as I can’t really handle this cold weather especially when I think about the fact that I don’t get blisteringly hot NE summers. You can put up with this crap when you know that come July you’ll be bathed in warm sunshine and cooling ocean breezes– sigh.
Why only one slipper? lol
Snow is a PITA when I’m trying to get to work. Great that nursery is still open when so many of the schools have closed.
