the one where I’m lost

I think I have well and truly lost my blog­ging mojo.  There is noth­ing new going on here. The weather is crap. I haven’t taken a photo in over 2 weeks, the longest I’ve ever gone with­out pick­ing up a cam­era! I’m not really sure what to do… I sup­pose I’ll do what I usu­ally do– bul­let points!

  • We found out for cer­tain that Squidge will not be going to our first choice school.  I was totally bummed out about it and truth­fully I am still bummed out about it.  We think she is prob­a­bly going to pri­vate school.  We’ll get the list of schools she got into on 1 April– I’m think­ing it’s going to be one hell of an April fool!
  • We are all still going to church even though Squidge isn’t get­ting into the school.  We actu­ally really enjoy our lit­tle rou­tine.  Church, swim­ming and then lunch.
  • Squidge is still tak­ing swim­ming lessons.  She loves it and is the only one in her class this term so she’s get­ting what amounts to pri­vate lessons!
  • I am still keep­ing up with my British Mil­i­tary Fit­ness.  I can’t believe I’m still doing it and lov­ing it.
  • Weight loss is slow but that’s a good thing… I think!  At the moment I’m only going 2 days a week but need to up that to 4.  This week I will have gone 4 times if I go tomor­row.  But, then next week Wal is away and I can only do 2 days.  Still 2 is bet­ter than 0!
  • I’m par­tic­i­pat­ing in an Exhi­bi­tion that opens on Thurs­day.  I have all of my pho­tographs mounted and framed. Open­ing night is Thurs­day night.  I’m hop­ing to get a babysit­ter so that Wal and I can attend.




the one where i heart faces– “Texture” Photo Challenge!

I’ve been check­ing on this blog/contest for a while. It’s called I heart faces.  Every week they have a dif­fer­ent chal­lenge.   For some rea­son I feel like par­tic­i­pat­ing in this weeks com­pe­ti­tion! This week the chal­lenge is tex­tures and I have a photo with tex­ture added that I just adore. It’s of Squidge (sur­prise!) and I just love her grown up pose and the tex­ture.
I’m not really sure how the con­test works, I think they have judges. I’m keep­ing my fin­gers crossed.





the one where we socialize

I don’t know if it’s the weather or just the sea­son but I haven’t been moti­vated to do any­thing.  We did finally make plans with a friend to check out a new soft play area.  It was a fan­tas­tic place and we will be going back– espe­cially on a Mon­day when they have boo­gie babies danc­ing included in the price!  Have I men­tioned Squidge is a danc­ing queen? Well, she is and was in a disco induced frenzy!
