Hiya!! How ya been?!?! Long time to post but I’m back now! I don’t have any excuses for not posting, just lazy. When last I posted we discussed weddings and what/how/where/when to do it all. I still haven’t made any decisions. I know what I want I just don’t know how I’m going to find the location. Well I know HOW, a wedding planner. I’m just too tight to spend €800 to have someone organize it for me.
Today Squidge started her first day at nursery! Wal and I walked her there this am and she was SOOOO FREAKING EXCITED!!!! OMG! OMG! OMG!! We were supposed to just get her settled in this week. We were asked if we wanted to stay in the staff lounge and wait. I tried to explain to them that Squidge is NOT a clingy child and would be just fine. When I got back to pick her up they were really surprised at how well she did. They kept asking me if she had been at another nursery or if I leave her w/ people often. The answer to both of those were no. I don’t have any family here so it’s not like we can just drop her off anytime we feel like it. She has stayed w/ my friend Byrney a few times when I’ve had a class or just needed a break. Although I do think that’s a bit different as Squidge is really close to C & N so they’re more like family. Anyway they were really surprised at how confident she is. I’d like to chalk it up to my superior parenting skills but I think it’s really 90% her personality. Notice I’m giving myself 10% of the credit! LOL hey I have to believe I’ve done something right these last 3 yrs. I’ll take partial credit for having a confident well adjusted child!
Squidge was in hysterics when I picked her up. She didn’t want to leave! I chatted w/ the manager and we agreed that we could skip the whole easing her into nursery plan of theirs. I tried to tell them that she would be fine! Tomorrow she’s in for a full day, 9–5. Then it’s every Wednesday and Thursday until she goes to primary school. Eeek she’s growing up so fast. I told her this morning I didn’t want her to grow up any more than she already has. (apparently I forgot the last part of the sentence when I originally posted– ooops Freudian slip?)
I don’t have any pictures as it just didn’t feel right but maybe I’ll take a photo of her in front of the gate tomorrow morning. I was feeling a bit discombobulated and a bit sad so kept my camera away.
Did I mention that I took Squidge to get her hair cut??

Yah, not a biggie except that it was the first time she’d had it done professionally. I just had her fringe done. Her hair had been driving me batty for a while. Even though her hair including the ‘fringe’ was long enough (it was bob length, the fringe, the rest of her hair is LOOOOONG) it was still always very messy. I would have to clip her hair back all the time and the clips were damaging her hair. Sometimes she would pull the clips off tearing huge clumps of hair. She looked soo different with it cut but I’ve gotten used to it now so think she’s back to looking all cute and adorable. I’ll post a photo once I can be bothered to get them off my memory card.
We attended a birthday party yesterday but no photos, see above.
I’m exhausted so will have to end this here. I have a HUGE post brewing in my brainz’s about British Military Fitness so watch out for that one!!

You are tired!! You need to fix the ending of your 3rd paragraph..I am 100% certain that its missing a bit lol!!!
Glad she enjoyed nursery…she is fearless, never bats an eyelid when you leave her with me… unlike my one who cried for 1 month solid when she HAD to start nursery!!!!!!
Squidge is going to love being in “school”
Ooops did I just admit I didn’t want her?!?!
You won’t know what to do with all that free time — enjoy it! Glad she took to it so well
The boy was the same when he first started nursery. There was none of this settling in stuff — he wanted to get stuck right in there and stay forever and ever and ever. I have to say, it makes our lives easier even if it does make me sad to see how independent he is.
Glad to hear it went well.
Good luck with wedding planning.
hi lindy got abraham pics they are beautiful thank you
I’m glad she did so well at school. I’m sorry it was hard on you-this growing up stuff is hard on parents. I’m sure you’ll find something fun to do when she’s in school
Congratulations on your wedding-I’m so happy for you. A destination wedding sound fun-I’ve always heard about them but never been to one.
