We’re still working on the bathroom– the never ending bathroom.  You’d think that the smallest room in the house would be an easy job.  So the tub is back (after being out for a day and a half).  It came out almost as soon as I hit the publish button on my last post.  It’s back now but we can’t drain the water because the waste pipe is too short.  So ANOTHER trip to B&Q (Think Home Depot).  This evening we bought a tile cutter from Screw Fix– Wal description of the place “like a shoe store for men”.  So I’m hoping and praying that the bathroom is DONE this weekend but I’m not going to hold my breath (breathe? breath? breathe?!?! aaaargh!).

Tomorrow the HIP inspectors are coming– YAY!  £200+ for 15 minutes and we’ll get a certificate that will allow us to list our house for sale.  Yea verily!

I’ve been out taking tons of photos of trees and blossoms and naturey crap.  I’m looking to get some artwork up on the walls as part of getting the house ready for showing.  We’re getting a storage facility (room? space?) and we are going to put EVERYTHING into storage.  I mean it’s all going.  I don’t want no stinkin’ family pictures on the wall. Books, bookshelves, toys (woooo boy are the toys going) and clothing.  Actually the clothes will be going to the charity shop.  We have a large 2 bed semi and I want the people viewing the place to realize it.  It’s too small for 3 especially when the newest third comes with some much crap!  I’m also thinking about putting in new counter tops in the kitchen.  Then I think no we shouldn’t because the person who buys this house will most likely put in a new one.

That is all folks. I’m currently in DIY hell w/ a man who likes to tinker and make things as perfect as possible even though we won’t be living here.  OOOH you know what?  That board you’ve been obsessing about for 2 hours won’t be seen because it’s UNDER THE FECKING TUB!!  Aaaah!!  We’ve been bickering a bit but all in good fun.  I mean I HAVE to give him a hard time about his nitpickyness and he HAS to give me a hard time about my desire to just slap up any old piece of trash up as long as it looks good.  LOL so whenever I give him sh!t he just reminds me that he has pride in his work.  Blah! Blah! Pride! Blah! Give me a break and just finish the damn bathroom!

Where has the time gone?!?!! So what have we been up to…
On Monday I drove down to Stoke to photograph this little bundle of newborn loveliness

I had sooooo much fun.  It was my first newborn shoot and Jenny (the mom) was super sweet and I hope she enjoys the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.  I’m still in the middle of processing.  I had forgotten how teeny newborns are.  You should have seen the tiny little bum this one has!  Not like the big girl bum that comes my way after it goes potty!!

The rest of the week has been pretty boring.  Went to the library on Tuesday, which was good since we missed our normal Monday story time.  On Wednesday I didn’t do much of anything.  Thursday we went swimming and Squidge was sooo freaking good!  It was like we had our swim loving Squidge back!  I’ve been talking to her for 2 weeks about swimming and not crying and how when she cries water goes up her nose and she doesn’t like that and she needs to not cry and and AND!!!  And I think it finally worked!!  Thursday Wal went down to London for work and when he got back we went out for a curry.  Only thing was we had to wait until it got dark!  It made us laugh because Squidge associates going for a curry as something that only happens at night.  Not that we go out for curries much so I don’t know why that has stuck.  I wonder what would happen if we went to a different restaurant?  Hmm probably a lot of tears.

So that has been my week in a nutshell.  Hmmm did I forget anything?  Oh yes the bath is in. I repeat the BATH IS IN!  Well at least temporarily, we need to make some adjustments and then we can start tiling.  Oh, I am SOOOO looking forward to that– not!  I absolutely loathe DIY but Wal is happy puttering around so hey whatever as long as I sell this fecking place by the Summer. Oh I also sold all but one of my lenses (kept my 50mm) and have ordered a Nikon 24–85 f/2.8.  It wasn’t my first choice lens but at £1100 that lens was NEVER going to happen.  At least not yet.  The new lens should be arriving tomorrow and I’m really looking forward to it as it’s supposed to be a fantastic lens.

Anyhoo enough of my boring jibber jabber– here are some random photos from the past week.
