Yesterday we went off to Abney Hall again.
I just love this place and could have spent hours and hours there– the cold finally drove me us inside.
Abney Hall runs along the M60 for a little while and it’s under a Manchester Airport flight path so it can get pretty loud for the first 5 minutes of the walk.
Soon you turn a corner and you can’t hear the motorway at.all. it’s pretty amazing to me as it is really loud and you can hardly hear anyone speaking it so bad. The first time we went to Abney Hall I thought what a beautiful walk, shame about the noise! Then you turn the corner and see this
and as if by magic the motorway noise fades. It’s pretty magical. We then just pick up stones. Look over fences and basically just have a fabulous time.
I love love love this last photo. I don’t know if photographically it’s all wrong. I do know that it captures the light and the mood of the day perfectly.
