Yesterday we went bowling– I’m hoping this becomes a NYE tradition. It was a good time even though I spent a lot of time chasing after Squidge.
Her bestest friend Cait was there so they were off like a shot most of the time.
After bowling we went to Nando’s– eeh, it was so-so. We very rarely go out to eat so it was a bit disappointing. Afterwards we went home grabbed some booze, travel cot and other bits and bobs then headed out to Joy’s. I rang and rang and rang the doorbell. I knocked and knocked. No one answered. I couldn’t call her– my phone is MIA. I wasn’t sure if they had headed out to a neighbors or if they were avoiding us. So we headed back home, we were a bit bummed out. So we had a very very quiet NYE celebration. So quiet that I went to bed after watching Life of Brian– that would be 10:30 for those non UK based folks. Wal stayed up fell asleep on the sofa.
I ended up that Joy and Co. were home but the doorbell isn’t working and they didn’t hear me knocking!!
Oh no!!!!! That’s bad!! You should have just called in at ours.
Never mind, we thoroughly enjoyed bowling too and sounds like a plan for next year!!! You never know our luck they may stay still for a short while next year..apart from Noah who’ll be at the run a mile stage!
The bowling looks like it was fun. What a pity you ended up not celebrating like you’d planned!
we were SO not avoiding you, dope! we feel idiotic that we didn’t hear you. We must have been too boozed up or something. Jack also had a ‘i want to wear my dr who pyjamas that are in the wash or i will freak the fuck out’ half hour. it was noisy. I ended up drinking bubbly *on my own* and then going to bed at 10:30. What a saddo! woke up with a stinking cold, so at least you weren’t infected.
Funny on the Joy front!! LOL!
My husband made me stay up til 12:30 playing video games. Just as fun!

Oh, that looks a posh one. We always go to Ashton (ah, there again!) but I’ve since been told there’s one a lot closer, Didsbury I think so I’m guessing this is that one. ST loved it when we took him! We stayed in and just watched TV, we left it too late to organise anything with anyone else and they’d all organised their own things (we’re just billy-no-mates!). ST woke up at 11.45 so we brought him downstairs to watch the London fireworks and he toasted the new year with a beaker of milk
