NYE Bowling

Yes­ter­day we went bowl­ing– I’m hop­ing this becomes a NYE tradition.  It was a good time even though I spent a lot of time chas­ing after Squidge. 

 

Her bestest friend Cait was there so they were off like a shot most of the time. 

After bowl­ing we went to Nando’s– eeh, it was so-so.  We very rarely go out to eat so it was a bit dis­ap­point­ing.  After­wards we went home grabbed some booze, travel cot and other bits and bobs then headed out to Joy’s.  I rang and rang and rang the door­bell.  I knocked and knocked.  No one answered.  I couldn’t call her– my phone is MIA.  I wasn’t sure if they had headed out to a neigh­bors or if they were avoid­ing us.  So we headed back home, we were a bit bummed out.  So we had a very very quiet NYE cel­e­bra­tion.  So quiet that I went to bed after watch­ing Life of Brian– that would be 10:30 for those non UK based folks.  Wal stayed up fell asleep on the sofa.

I ended up that Joy and Co. were home but the door­bell isn’t work­ing and they didn’t hear me knocking!!

    Oh no!!!!! That’s bad!! You should have just called in at ours.
    Never mind, we thor­oughly enjoyed bowl­ing too and sounds like a plan for next year!!! You never know our luck they may stay still for a short while next year..apart from Noah who’ll be at the run a mile stage!

    we were SO not avoid­ing you, dope! we feel idi­otic that we didn’t hear you. We must have been too boozed up or some­thing. Jack also had a ‘i want to wear my dr who pyja­mas that are in the wash or i will freak the fuck out’ half hour. it was noisy. I ended up drink­ing bub­bly *on my own* and then going to bed at 10:30. What a saddo! woke up with a stink­ing cold, so at least you weren’t infected.

    Funny on the Joy front!! LOL!

    My hus­band made me stay up til 12:30 play­ing video games. Just as fun!

    Oh, that looks a posh one. We always go to Ash­ton (ah, there again!) but I’ve since been told there’s one a lot closer, Dids­bury I think so I’m guess­ing this is that one. ST loved it when we took him! We stayed in and just watched TV, we left it too late to organ­ise any­thing with any­one else and they’d all organ­ised their own things (we’re just billy-no-mates!). ST woke up at 11.45 so we brought him down­stairs to watch the Lon­don fire­works and he toasted the new year with a beaker of milk :)
