Formby
Posted on August 29, 2007
Monday was a holiday here and I forced Wally to take us to the sea. He looked at me like I was stoned (apparently all of England heads for the sea during a bank holiday weekend) but off we went in search of a nice beach. We found one in Formby. It had sand dunes and nice sandy beach and we had a blast. It was windy and no way would we go swimming because it is England after all. Squidge had a blast eating sand. And when I say she was eating sand I mean she was eating big fist fulls of sand. YUCK! I kept trying to get her stop but finally gave up. She loves the stuff. I’m waiting for the sand poos.
My favorite photo– she loves the water and looks like she’s the happiest little girl in the world.
I apologize if this post doesn’t make any sense. It’s 2:30am and I’m exhausted! I’m off to bed now.

Oooo…looks like home.
Minus the perves on the beach.
Cute pictures!
That first photo reminds me of the “secret spot” in Westport we would “camp” at.…hopefully less bugbites in England
OH! That is so cool. Nice beach! She is super adorable.
What a great pic of her standing there in her overalls
And don’t worry — sand is a terrific, all-natural source of various minerals
I just showed this to Frank who gasped at it (we just spent the weekend at Dunes on Lake Michigan).
Nothing like a cold damp Bank Holiday monday at The Seaside! Wheeee!
