We had a very good flight. I thought Squidge was going to be a ter­ror but she was good. I’m home and I’m exhausted and should be in bed but instead I’m here drink­ing gin and ton­ics. I’ll post more tomorrow!





Holiday

I’ve been hav­ing some major issues w/ my parent’s com­puter.  I finally had the O/S reloaded.  I’ve lost all the pho­tos I had taken prior to my move to the UK in 2005.  I’m very very sad about this.  I MUST remem­ber to backup all the pho­tos I have taken of Boo. At last count I had over 5,000.  If I lose those I’ll be dev­as­tated.  Onto hap­pier craft­ing news.  I have TONS of fab­ric, most of it vin­tage. Thanks to my Mom, Aunt Lily, grand­mother and var­i­ous friends of my moth­ers.  Also I scored a very cool stash of vin­tage but­tons.  I’m so look­ing for­ward to get­ting home to sort through it all. 

 Oh and I can’t wait to get home so I can check out my lit­tle pack­age from Janet Clare– a note­book cover.  I can’t wait to see it and post pho­tos of it. 

Well I’m just glad I’m finally able to post from this com­puter.  I’m on my way home on Mon­day night and will be arriv­ing in Man­ches­ter Tues­day morn­ing.  I’m ready to go home but I’m going to miss my fam­ily terribly. 





Defeated

So I finally took my fathers com­puter in to be seen by an expert. The more I tried to fix it and clean it up the worse the prob­lems became. It got to the point last night when things stated to dis­ap­pear. So this morn­ing I gave in and finally had the OS reloaded. I asked that the pic­tures be backed up but when they went in to the fold­ers there wasn’t any­thing in them. It made me sick to my stom­ach. ALL my pho­tos prior to my move to the UK are gone. This com­puter was my com­puter. Before I moved to the UK I bought a lap­top and down­loaded all my pho­tos onto it. As some of you will remem­ber that one was stolen but I didn’t mind (well I did mind A LOT) because at least I still had the pho­tos on this com­puter. Now they’re gone– for­ever– and I’m sooo very sad about it.
