Freaking out a bit

I have my UK dri­ving test tomor­row morn­ing at 8:40 and I’m freak­ing out a lit­tle! I should be ok, shouldn’t I?? I mean I’ve been dri­ving for 16 yrs. *sigh* I’ll let you know how it goes.

So the mom blog­ger world is all a twit­ter over a recent NBC seg­ment on mums who drink while w/ their kids. Mere­deth Vieira asked what the dif­fer­ence was between the mum and a babysit­ter. It seems like a pretty stu­pid ques­tion and one that begs the imag­i­na­tion. I didn’t watch it as I’m all the way across the pond but appar­ently it wasn’t a pretty sight. It’s a good thing I didn’t watch it because I prob­a­bly would have bro­ken my tele­vi­sion when I threw the bot­tle of wine I’d con­sumed the night before at it!!

Solid foods

Soooo I think Squidgy­boo is going to be well into her teens before I give her any solid food. I keep think­ing she is going to choke. I tried her out on some cucum­ber and banana today. I know an odd combo but it was what I had handy and didn’t need cook­ing. Here’s a photo of her chomp­ing on a cucum­ber. As soon as I took the pic­ture I whipped the cucum­ber out of her hand because I thought she was going to choke on it. As you can tell she is fine and would have enjoyed eat­ing it if I had only let her!! *sigh* I’m not sure what I’m going to to with myself. I know it’s totally my own hang up!!

The Dids update

Yay!! We got the func­tion room. I’m sooo relieved, I wasn’t look­ing for­ward to try­ing to find another location.

Also finally booked our slot for Aquaba­bies!! We’d been wait­ing for an open­ing at the local hydro-pool. Not so much because we wanted one close by but because being a shorty all the other pools they use are too deep for me! Squidgy­boo and I start mid Feb­ru­ary, of course that means I have to squeeze my post preg­nancy body into a bathing suit. NOT a pretty sight!
